Sr. Accountant

What you will do

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, including invoice processing, vendor maintenance, payments, customer invoicing, cash application, debit notes, and credit memos.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations, bank transactions, cash activities, and three-way matching controls using SAP systems.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including account analysis and trial balance review schedules.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, withholding tax calculations, tax payments, and coordination with tax advisors and auditors.
• Drive accounting process improvements, standardization, operational efficiency, and internal control enhancements.
• Support budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, management reporting, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany reconciliations, fixed assets, tax activities, and financial close processes.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule in Hiratsuka, Japan.
• Knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, audit support, and company policies.
• Experience using SAP VIM and SAP FEBAN is required for the relevant accounting and banking activities.
