Engineering Manager (Hardware)

Location: Lund, Sweden; hybrid role based at the Lund HQ Campus

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 11 electronics and mechanical engineers.
• Shape 3–5-year team strategies and product development roadmaps.
• Drive hardware development from early concepts through verification, industrialization, and volume production.
• Set priorities, allocate resources, manage budgets, and address technical or capacity challenges.
• Strengthen collaboration across electronics, mechanics, software, QA, technology, operations, project management, and 2N.
• Contribute to the Intercom Solutions management team and develop the department.

Requirements

• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a line manager for hardware engineers in a technical environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing hardware products and setting long-term strategic goals.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent English required for daily work and good proficiency in Swedish.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulatory certification processes such as EMC, RED, and Safety directives.
• Working knowledge of Xpedition and/or Windchill.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers and guiding products through manufacturing at an EMS provider.
• Experience across the full product lifecycle, from concept to volume production.
