MDP Customer Support Technician I (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Nishi Tokyo, Japan; on-site cleanroom work

Develops and services materials science and engineering solutions used in semiconductor chips and advanced displays.

What you will do

• Perform Tier I procedures, preventive maintenance, and wet-cleaning.
• Assist senior engineers with corrective maintenance.
• Disassemble, clean, and rebuild kits as part of kit management quality procedures.
• Learn and apply basic diagnostic techniques using documentation and test equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve basic technical problems while following established procedures and IP guidelines.
• Represent the company professionally to customers and maintain an orderly work area.

Requirements

• Basic analytical skills and the ability to follow standard operating procedures or scientific methods.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and communicate technical information.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including extended walking and standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom while using required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
• Ability to work around significant noise and distinguish between colors.
• Ability to comply consistently with safety procedures.
