Group Leader Drug Linker Development (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Visp, Switzerland; fully site-based. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families.

What you will do

• Lead the Drug Linker Process Development team of chemists and monitor performance against agreed objectives.
• Support the ramp-up of the Drug Linker Development organization by defining and implementing critical business processes.
• Manage hiring, resource allocation, team development, and HR activities for the assigned group.
• Guide process development and MSAT activities, including robust technology transfer into GMP manufacturing facilities.
• Drive innovative technologies, laboratory investments, and improvements in capability, capacity, and operational efficiency.
• Act as a technical and scientific expert while collaborating with Bioconjugates, Small Molecules Operations, production facilities, and external partners.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline; PhD in Organic Chemistry is preferred.
• Approximately 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical process development, API development, clinical supply, or manufacturing sciences.
• Experience leading complex projects in a matrix organization within clinical supply, development, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of chemical process development, scale-up, technology transfer, and GMP manufacturing requirements.
• Knowledge of Drug Linker technology and safe work execution in containment assets.
• Fluent English is required; German proficiency is a strong asset.
