TL;DR
BMC Firmware Engineer (C/C++/Linux): Developing and maintaining BMC firmware and server management solutions for enterprise and data center platforms with an accent on Redfish, IPMI, MCTP, PLDM, and hardware integration. Focus on firmware bring-up, debugging complex sensor, power, thermal, and platform initialization issues, and building reliable management services across server hardware, BIOS, networking, and storage.
Location: Taipei, Taiwan. Right to work in Taiwan is required.

What you will do
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain BMC firmware for enterprise, server, and data center platforms.
- Implement and integrate management features based on Redfish, IPMI, MCTP, PLDM, SMBus/I2C, and related standards.
- Develop BMC applications, services, drivers, and middleware using C/C++ and Linux.
- Integrate firmware with server hardware, BIOS, CPUs, PCIe devices, storage, networking, thermal, and power systems.
- Perform firmware bring-up, performance optimization, log analysis, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with hardware, BIOS, validation, system engineering, and customer teams on production and field issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of software or firmware development experience.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills and solid Linux system-level development and debugging experience.
- Experience with BMC, server firmware, embedded systems, or system management software.
- Familiarity with Redfish, IPMI, MCTP, PLDM, SMBus/I2C, SPI, UART, or PCIe.
- Must have the right to work in Taiwan.
Nice to have
- Experience with OpenBMC, MegaRAC, Redfish APIs, AST2600/AST2700, D-Bus, Yocto, systemd, U-Boot, Linux kernel, or device drivers.
- Experience with SPDM, NC-SI, AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA server platforms.
- Experience with OCP specifications, hyperscale or cloud data centers, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
