Senior Medical Science Liaison (Obesity)

Location: Field-based territory covering Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, within the United States.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary scientific and clinical resource for obesity opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, population health decision makers, and clinical investigators.
• Execute medical function and product strategy through peer-to-peer scientific exchange and balanced communication of clinical data.
• Support obesity pipeline studies, sponsored research, non-sponsored clinical research, and investigator relationships.
• Communicate clinical, outcomes, and economic evidence within assigned integrated delivery networks and institutions.
• Provide field insights to internal stakeholders, lead or support congress activities, and participate in MSL strategy projects.
• Mentor other MSLs, support speaker training, maintain scientific expertise, and complete compliance and administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, or master’s degree and 6 years of Medical Affairs experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Experience in a medically related field, clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Experience in a Medical Science Liaison, Scientific Affairs, or Medical Affairs role within a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Strong scientific communication, collaboration, and external stakeholder relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in the designated Durham and Chapel Hill field territory.

Nice to have

• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another doctoral degree.
• Seven or more years in a medically related field, including at least one year in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• At least two years of MSL experience at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Cardiometabolic or obesity expertise and experience with a designated territory.
