IE (Industrial Engineer) Intern

Location: Korat, Thailand; onsite at the manufacturing facility

A large manufacturing facility producing cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives.

What you will do

• Design production layouts that improve process flow, minimize distance, and maximize space capacity.
• Calculate HPU requirements based on product mix, process requirements, and production roadmaps.
• Analyze the impact of new equipment and technologies planned for future production roadmaps.
• Apply Lean concepts and industrial engineering tools to improve the utilization of people, materials, machines, and space.
• Design automated data workflows to support Factory 4.0 initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of hard disk drive manufacturing.
• Experience with data analytics platforms and simulation software such as FlexSim and Arena, or the ability to query and analyze database data.
• Fluent spoken and written English communication.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
