Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid role in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States. U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph are required.

Salary: $130,000–$270,000 per year

What you will do

• Deploy the RAD system across three isolated network environments using Kubernetes.
• Design, establish, and document repeatable deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Modify and troubleshoot Java Spring back-end and Vue.js front-end components.
• Diagnose issues across infrastructure, middleware, and application layers during environment standup and stabilization.
• Collaborate with DevOps, software development, and systems engineering teams on deployment standards and RAD architecture.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; a master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes, Docker, Linux administration, Git, and CI/CD experience.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot and Vue.js or a comparable front-end framework.
• Experience deploying distributed web applications across isolated or classified network environments.

Nice to have

• AWS cloud-native architecture and deployment experience.
• Terraform, Ansible, and Python scripting experience.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, NiFi, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of government agency reporting and dissemination policies.
