Chargeback Dispute Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Remote within Canada

Salary: CAD 48,778–73,222 per year

What you will do

• Own chargeback cases end to end, from informing merchants and gathering evidence to disputing cases and reaching resolution.
• Coach small business owners on the dispute lifecycle and identify ways to prevent future disputes.
• Improve chargeback policies, procedures, processes, and operational efficiency.
• Work with Risk, Finance, Product, vendors, banking partners, and financial institutions to reduce losses.
• Support fraud prevention, reporting, customer communications, accounts receivable, and chargeback-related content.
• Analyze case outcomes and translate insights into improvements that increase efficiency and reduce collections.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of related work experience.
• Extensive knowledge of e-commerce card and ACH payments, ideally in both Canada and the United States.
• Experience handling chargebacks and dispute resolution on the merchant or issuer side.
• Understanding of Payment Card Network, NACHA, and Payments Canada rules and regulations.
• Strong customer service, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, deadline-management, and vendor-management skills.
• Experience with collections or credit risk practices.
