Director, Indirect Tax

What you will do

• Manage US sales and use tax, VAT, and DST activities, including compliance, research, and business support.
• Lead global indirect tax compliance and reporting with internal and external partners.
• Develop and maintain internal controls for indirect tax processes and systems.
• Drive operational efficiency and technology initiatives across core tax activities.
• Provide indirect tax expertise for business initiatives and monitor global tax law developments.
• Lead or support ongoing and anticipated tax controversy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of indirect tax experience covering US tax and VAT, with a strong understanding of indirect tax systems and laws.
• Experience with technical research and preparing audit-ready documentation.
• Experience managing, mentoring, and developing professional staff.
• B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Ability to communicate technical and non-technical concepts clearly and work collaboratively across departments.
• Ability and interest in learning and implementing AI-supported solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday, Vertex, and OneSource.
• Combination of public accounting and in-house tax experience.
