Senior Associate - Client Onboarding (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY; employees are required to work in the office 4 days per week

Base salary: $110,000–$135,000 per year, excluding bonuses and equity.

What you will do

• Manage client onboarding, new account openings, periodic refreshes, maintenance, and client offboarding.
• Partner with sales and trading, futures clearing, investment banking, securities finance, trade support, client service, legal, and compliance.
• Support onboarding for institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, proprietary trading firms, market makers, and family offices.
• Build long-term relationships with front-office colleagues and institutional clients.
• Help shape onboarding, maintenance, and offboarding processes within a growing client onboarding team.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in client onboarding, preferably in equities prime brokerage, futures clearing, or security-based swaps.
• Proficiency in CFTC, FINRA, and SEC regulatory requirements for customer onboarding.
• Knowledge of AML and KYC onboarding requirements, including BSA, the USA PATRIOT Act, and FinCEN requirements.
• Experience supporting institutional clients such as hedge funds, asset managers, proprietary trading firms, and family offices.
• Strong relationship-building, client service, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and contribute effectively to strategic initiatives and periods of increased workload.
