Senior Consultant - Data Engineering

Location: United States; preferred locations are New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. The role may require travel up to 50%.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, integration solutions, and data architectures.
• Build scalable data storage, processing, and analytics solutions with Snowflake.
• Collect and analyze data, test hypotheses, and develop recommendations for insurance clients.
• Identify and implement solutions to complex business and data-engineering challenges.
• Engage directly with client stakeholders and support multiple consulting initiatives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer and at least 4 years of consulting or in-house consulting experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, risk management, business, analytics, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on expertise with Qlik Replicate, Qlik Compose, DBT Labs, Astronomer, GitHub, and Snowflake.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering, data modeling, ETL, data warehousing, data quality, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Programming skills in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell, plus experience with AWS or Azure.
• Financial-services experience, preferably in insurance, along with strong consulting, communication, problem-solving, and executive presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with recognized consulting frameworks and business process mapping.
• Background in insurance or other financial-services transformation programs.
