German Design Lead (12 Month Contract)

Location: Hybrid role; must be based in Berlin, Germany, to go into the office.

What you will do

• Set the creative vision and deliver locally relevant campaigns, templates, and design elements for the German market.
• Lead the creation, curation, editorial framing, and quality assurance of content across graphics, photos, video, social media, presentations, websites, and print.
• Use AI tools and workflows to accelerate production, improve efficiency, and develop scalable content systems.
• Research German culture, consumer behavior, and design trends to ensure cultural authenticity, inclusion, and local relevance.
• Analyze content performance, discoverability, gaps, and campaign ROI to guide future creative decisions.
• Manage local freelancers and creators while partnering with Marketing, SEO, Content Strategy, Product, and Country teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience in creative leadership with an international, regional, or market-level remit.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design work and culturally resonant content campaigns.
• Experience collaborating with SEO, Growth, Marketing, Product, and other cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills, with a results-focused mindset.
• Experience managing freelancers or creators and working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
