Head of Global Manufacturing Science & Technology (Biotech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Bridgewater, New Jersey, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Base pay: $222,672–$292,258 USD per year, plus performance-based bonus and/or equity for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Define and execute the global MSAT strategy, operating model, technical standards, and governance.
• Lead process characterization, validation, continued process verification, process monitoring, investigations, and manufacturing optimization.
• Guide technology transfer, manufacturing readiness, commercialization, scale-up, site transfers, and capacity expansion.
• Establish lifecycle management strategies to improve quality, yield, throughput, cost efficiency, cycle time, and supply resilience.
• Drive adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, modeling, analytics, data science, and digital manufacturing.
• Build and lead a global MSAT organization while advising senior leadership on manufacturing, technology, process, and investment decisions.

Requirements

• Advanced degree, preferably a PhD, in Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 20+ years of progressive experience in MSAT, process development, manufacturing science, technical operations, or related biopharmaceutical functions.
• Significant global leadership experience with commercial biopharmaceutical products; cell therapy, gene therapy, or other advanced modalities preferred.
• Expertise in process characterization, validation, technology transfer, CPV, process optimization, manufacturing technology, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to lead complex technical decisions across R&D, CMC, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through Form I-9 and E-Verify.
