Accounting Manager (Mortgage Servicing)

Salary: $77,250–$102,976 annually

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day general and mortgage servicing accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, revenue and asset accounting, loan-level accounting, and fee and advance accounting.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, month-end close activities, and servicing-related financial data.
• Maintain accounting systems and procedures, identify improvements, and support accurate reporting, internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to operational and functional leaders and collaborate with servicing, treasury, finance, operations, and compliance stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, expenditures, financial variances, projects, consultants, and external accounting service providers.
• Lead, supervise, coach, evaluate, and develop accounting professionals while supporting hiring and compensation recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 5–7 years of directly related experience, including 3–5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Deep accounting subject matter expertise with experience in mortgage servicing accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, project management, problem-solving, communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
• Experience designing and executing complex projects, managing change and conflict, developing talent, and maintaining effective relationships across business units.
• Strong business acumen, strategic agility, and ability to establish goals and measure results.
