Associate Counsel (Manufacturing)

Salary: $150,000–$165,000 annually

What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage customer, distribution, supplier, procurement, service, technology, logistics, and transportation agreements.
• Advise commercial, operations, procurement, and business teams on contractual rights, obligations, risk allocation, and dispute resolution.
• Support manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, inventory, product safety, warranty, product liability, production, and distribution matters.
• Assist with corporate governance, subsidiary management, entity formation, restructuring, corporate filings, and board and committee materials.
• Support ethics, anti-bribery, trade, sanctions, competition, privacy, employment, and other compliance matters, including investigations and regulatory monitoring.
• Assist with litigation, claims, administrative proceedings, outside counsel coordination, legal research, training, and legal guidance materials.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from a leading law school.
• 2–5 years of experience in a leading law firm, sophisticated in-house legal department, or a combination of both.
• Active license in good standing in Illinois or at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Ability to support legal matters across commercial, operational, regulatory, corporate, employment, and dispute-related areas.

Nice to have

• Exposure to corporate matters, manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, compliance, employment, risk, or litigation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and contract management systems.
