Social Media Supervisor (Gaming)

Location: Remote for U.S.-based employees only; international remote work is not eligible. Availability required Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm PST.

What you will do

• Lead social media strategy, brand voice and tone, content strategy, and community management for a major global video game property.
• Build client relationships and translate business objectives, marketing priorities, campaign moments, and announcements into social-first storytelling.
• Manage and mentor Social Media Managers, providing strategic guidance and quality assurance across calendars, copy, publishing, and community management.
• Coordinate timelines, approvals, deliverables, scope, and cross-functional workflows with creative, strategy, talent, and community teams.
• Identify opportunities to build fandom, encourage conversation, and deepen audience engagement between major campaign moments.
• Monitor gaming culture, platform behaviors, emerging formats, fan feedback, and community sentiment.

Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience in social media, preferably in an agency environment.
• Strong personal affinity for video games and gaming culture.
• Experience leading social media strategies, cross-functional campaigns, projects, and Social Media Managers.
• Strong client communication, relationship-management, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of gaming marketing, AAA gaming, console and PC audiences, and social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Reddit, and Discord.
• Must be U.S.-based for payroll and compliance reasons; international remote work is not eligible.

• Professional experience with gaming, entertainment, or fandom-driven brands.
• Experience with action, shooter, or narrative-driven titles.
