What you will do
- Provide accounting and business support for the designated unit and serve as a resource for staff.
- Execute, review, and audit complex accounting and financial transactions.
- Prepare financial presentations, reports, models, projections, annual financial report tasks, and budget allocations.
- Support compliance rate reviews, commitment tracking, departmental budget requests, and process improvements.
- Track projects, audits, business records, access requests, and records management activities.
- Oversee DC-specific purchasing, vendor invoicing, local contract routing, event budgeting, facilities-related fiscal tracking, and coordination with central FBS leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of related experience.
- Knowledge of financial management systems, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to apply rules and regulations in a complex environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work on site in Washington, DC.
