What you will do

• Report, research, write, voice, shoot, edit, and produce news stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Arrange and conduct interviews, gather information from research and public records, and verify facts.
• Develop story ideas, pitch relevant local coverage, and evaluate assignments, leads, and tips.
• Determine story emphasis, format, and length while revising content to meet editorial approval and timing requirements.
• Write web and eMedia stories and interact with viewers and users on social media.
• Maintain journalistic integrity, production quality, accuracy, and clear communication across all content.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• At least two years of news reporting experience; three years is preferred depending on market size.
• Fluent English and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ad lib when required.
• Superior on-air presence and the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and flexibility to work any shift.
