What you will do

• Develop and maintain production-quality compact models for silicon photonic devices.
• Extract parameters and calibrate models using DC, RF/S-parameter, optical, and transient measurement data.
• Build testbenches, regression methodologies, validation reports, and quality checks for model releases.
• Contribute to Process Design Kit development, documentation, verification, and release activities.
• Integrate models into customer design flows and EDA platforms and resolve modeling and simulation issues.
• Develop automation and scripting solutions for parameter extraction, validation, reporting, and workflow efficiency.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Optics, or a related field.
• Overall GPA of at least 3.0 and good academic standing.
• English fluency in written and verbal communication is required.
• Knowledge of semiconductor or photonic device physics, compact-model development, parameter extraction, device characterization, numerical modeling, or measured-data validation.
• Programming or modeling experience with Python, MATLAB, Verilog-A, C/C++, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with photonic, RF, or mixed-signal EDA environments such as Cadence, Synopsys, ADS, or Luceda.
