What you will do
- Provide legal advice on land acquisition, development, disposition, construction, home sales, warranties, and regional operations.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and revise land acquisition, homebuyer, subcontractor, commercial lease, marketing, and disclosure documents.
- Advise on RESPA, FHA/VA compliance, and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Investigate, negotiate, and resolve homebuyer and homeowner disputes.
- Respond to government inquiries and complaints and coordinate outside counsel.
- Support policy, procedure, and contract compliance across regional and divisional operations.
Requirements
- Legal experience supporting real estate, land acquisition, construction, home sales, or related business matters.
- Ability to draft and negotiate contracts and related legal documents.
- Knowledge of RESPA, FHA/VA compliance, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Ability to work with division personnel, government representatives, and outside counsel.
- Ability to travel overnight.
