TL;DR
Software Engineer (Lake Analytics Platform) (Snowflake/Python/SQL): Operating and extending governed analytical platform services that move data from durable storage to internal applications, business decisions, and AI with an accent on access control, data masking, deployment automation, and integrations. Focus on maintaining self-service tooling, diagnosing production issues through observability and runbooks, and supporting incident response and clean handoffs during the engagement.

What you will do
- Operate and extend platform features for provisioning, deployment pipelines, access control, and service lifecycle management.
- Maintain integrations with CI/CD systems, identity and secrets management, internal APIs, and event-driven hooks.
- Support Snowflake-based access control, data classification, and dynamic masking initiatives.
- Maintain self-service automation for access provisioning, pipeline failure handling, and service health.
- Use telemetry, alerting, and runbooks to diagnose and resolve platform incidents.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and document decisions, incidents, and handoff information.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating a cloud analytical data platform such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or a similar system.
- Experience with access control, data masking, governance, compute management, and elevated privileges.
- Experience with containerized applications, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployment automation.
- Experience with internal platforms, developer tooling, or self-service infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, plus familiarity with REST APIs, OAuth/OIDC, webhooks, secrets management, and identity or SSO patterns.
- Strong operational ownership, written communication, incident analysis, and the ability to ramp up quickly in an existing platform or codebase.
