EI&C MES Application Manager (Manufacturing Systems)

Location: CH - Visp; fully site-based role

What you will do

• Lead MES projects through requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Maintain and develop MES standards in line with site and global guidelines.
• Ensure reliable operation, enhancement, updating, and lifecycle management of MES systems.
• Improve MES workflows, digitalization opportunities, operational efficiency, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with Operations, QA, Automation, and IT/OT teams to support system integration and availability.
• Coordinate external partners and vendors and ensure GMP-compliant documentation, change control, and validation readiness.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Industrial IT/OT, Automation Engineering, or a related field at Bachelor level or higher.
• Significant experience in IT/OT, MES, or automation engineering within a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements and experience with validated production or automation systems.
• Experience with MES lifecycle management, system operation, enhancements, release management, and interface coordination.
• Knowledge of OT networks, virtualization technologies such as VMware, system architectures, and basic cybersecurity principles.
• Fluent German or English at minimum B2 level required; willingness to participate in on-call duty 2–3 times per year.
