Python-Focused Engineer (Mid–Senior) Remote-LATAM (Python)

Location: Remote; candidates must be living in Mexico or elsewhere in Latin America

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services with Python and Django.
• Work with Django ORM and complex database queries.
• Build and maintain XML and API-based data pipelines and feed ingestion systems.
• Implement asynchronous and scheduled processing with Celery and Redis.
• Integrate third-party systems, including Greenhouse, Lever, and iCIMS.
• Optimize PostgreSQL performance, support job distribution workflows, troubleshoot backend services, and own features end-to-end.

Requirements

• Advanced English proficiency in written and spoken communication.
• Strong Python and Django experience, including Django internals and ORM.
• Hands-on experience with Celery and Redis for asynchronous processing and scheduled jobs.
• Advanced PostgreSQL knowledge, including complex queries.
• Experience with third-party API integrations, data pipelines, feed processing systems, and complex or legacy systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• AWS experience.
• Familiarity with PostGIS.
• Experience with machine learning integrations or predictive services.
• Knowledge of search tools such as Algolia.
