Process Safety Specialist (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Low Moor, Bradford, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom; onsite role

What you will do

• Provide expert process safety advice to operational and engineering teams.
• Support COMAH compliance, regulatory inspections, and engagement with the HSE.
• Lead and facilitate PHA, hazard studies, and LOPA.
• Review process safety performance through audits, investigations, and reporting.
• Advise on safety-critical equipment, major accident hazards, and human factors.
• Drive continuous improvement in process safety standards across the site.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Process safety experience within chemical manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of COMAH and UK process safety regulations.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to influence, facilitate, and build strong relationships across all levels.

Nice to have

• Experience within an upper-tier COMAH site.
• Human Factors experience.
