Location: Palos Heights, Illinois, United States; onsite evening shift
Salary: USD 59.23–79.95 per hour

What you will do
- Provide clinical and administrative leadership for the emergency department and supervise patient care delivery.
- Coordinate staffing, schedules, vacation approvals, education time, schedule changes, overtime, and department resources.
- Lead quality and service improvement initiatives using benchmarks, best practices, metrics, and shared governance input.
- Hire, onboard, coach, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff while supporting retention and professional development.
- Manage budgets, efficiency initiatives, business development plans, and departmental performance targets.
- Coordinate collaboration among registered nurses, physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of relevant experience.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Licensed Registered Nurse with Basic Life Support certification.
- Specialty certification required within one year of hire.
- Must work onsite in Palos Heights, Illinois, during the evening shift.
- Ability to maintain current clinical and administrative nursing knowledge and supervise staff competence.
Nice to have
- Emergency department experience.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course or Trauma Nursing Specialty certification.
- Master’s degree or current enrollment in a master’s program.
