Mid-level Software Developer (Python) (Fintech)

Location: Larnaca, Cyprus; hybrid work model with 2 days working from home.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Python applications and frameworks.
• Write clean, reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and release new features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, modify, and unit-test applications.
• Monitor industry trends and technologies to keep applications current and competitive.

Requirements

• BSc or BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in Python development, including hands-on experience designing and developing Python frameworks.
• Experience with common technology stacks, Agile practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB; web servers such as Apache; container technologies such as Kubernetes or OpenShift; and DevOps platforms such as GitLab.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex technical issues.
• Backend technologies include Python, C#, C++, Rust, and BashWeb; frameworks and libraries include Python Fast/API, Python Tornado, .NET Core, React, React Native, Kotlin, and Swift.
• Database technologies include MariaDB, Galera Cluster, Elasticsearch Cluster, MongoDB Replica Set Cluster, CockroachDB Cluster, Redis Cluster, and InfluxDB.
• Message queue technologies include RabbitMQ and ZeroMQ; web servers include Nginx and IIS; observability and infrastructure tools include Docker, Kubernetes, Thanos, Prometheus, and Grafana.
