Product Test Engineer (Plastics)

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin, United States; on-site attendance is required during production trials

What you will do

• Develop, execute, supervise, and document product testing for plastic containers.
• Research testing methodologies, analyze data, and prepare detailed reports.
• Interpret testing opportunities and communicate product performance findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain testing equipment and coordinate calibration, documentation, and operational readiness with the Lab Manager.
• Support multiple functions, business units, and locations as a technical resource and problem solver.
• Coordinate external testing, participate in production trials and customer evaluations, and identify testing improvements.

Requirements

• Associate degree with experience in plastic product testing, or a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• At least two years of applicable technical experience.
• Experience with laboratory procedures, product development in an ISO-controlled environment, or testing plastic materials using ASTM and AIAG standards.
• Ability to analyze and assess data and explain complex scientific concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, maintain a safe working environment, and remain available outside normal work hours when needed.
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, along with strong communication, organization, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
