Audio-Visual Support Technician (AV/live events): Providing first-line technical support for teaching spaces, AV-enabled areas and live events across a university campus with an accent on audio systems, displays, control systems, signal routing and streaming. Focus on installing and configuring AV technologies, supporting live event sound, lighting and vision control, and resolving equipment faults for staff and students.
Location: Oxford Road, Manchester, United Kingdom; on-campus role. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.

The is a large UK university whose Media Services team supports teaching, learning, research and events through media production and audio-visual services.
What you will do
- Provide first-line audio-visual support in central teaching spaces and other AV-enabled campus areas.
- Install, maintain and configure audio-visual technologies and facilities.
- Support live events with setup, sound, lighting, vision control, streaming and signal transmission.
- Assist staff and students with the effective use of AV equipment and systems.
- Respond to faults, resolve technical issues and escalate where required.
- Collaborate with AV engineers, Media Services colleagues and wider technology and professional services teams.
Requirements
- HND or RQF Level 5 equivalent qualification in technology or a related discipline, or demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience.
- Confidence working with audio-visual and IT technologies.
- Clear communication with a wide range of users and a strong customer-service focus.
- Commitment to learning, professional development and collaborative working.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom is required; Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is not available.
