TL;DR
Mission Control Manager (Autonomous Trucks): Leading the end-to-end mission control operation for supervised R&D testing and driverless freight operations with an accent on team building, 24/7 coverage, operational standards, and KPI ownership. Focus on validating the operating model, converting road incidents into improved procedures, and coordinating escalations across safety, engineering, dispatch, fleet, and commercial teams.
Location: On-site in Lancaster, Texas, United States; shift-based coverage, including 24/7 operations, may be required.

What you will do
- Own Mission Control operations end to end, including remote assistance, fleet and mission management, and dispatch coordination.
- Build, lead, schedule, train, and develop Remote Assist Specialists and Mission Control Specialists.
- Own operational KPIs such as mission completion, intervention and resolution rates, response and resolution times, operator-to-truck ratio, and fleet uptime.
- Establish emergency response, redundancy, standard operating, and escalation procedures.
- Stand up and validate the Mission Control operating model during supervised operations before driverless freight launches.
- Partner with Dispatch, Vehicle Operations, Test Operations, Fleet Readiness, Training, Autonomy, Commercial, customers, regulators, and visitors.
Requirements
- 6+ years of operations leadership experience with substantial people-management depth, including leading other leaders.
- Experience operating or establishing a 24/7 shift-based control center, NOC, command center, or dispatch floor.
- Experience building and scaling a team and operating model from an early stage.
- Calm judgment under pressure, strong cross-functional communication, and a disciplined continuous-improvement approach.
- Comfort working in a technical environment; deep autonomous-vehicle or engineering expertise is not required.
- Willingness to work on-site in Lancaster, Texas, and flex to shift-based coverage as needed.
