Rehab Nurse Tech Brain Injury Full Time 12 Hour Day Shift

Salary: $20.15–$26.20 per hour

What you will do

• Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist with personal hygiene, activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, therapy readiness, skin care, and bowel and bladder programs.
• Measure and document vital signs, pulse oximetry, blood glucose, weights, intake and output, and other patient data.
• Perform delegated technical duties, including specimen collection, straight catheterization, 12-lead EKGs, oxygen and tube-feeding transfers, and high-quality CPR.
• Support patients with dysphagia, fall or injury risks, agitation, aggressive behaviors, and other complex rehabilitation needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care, bedside handoffs, quality improvement, equipment maintenance, audits, and precepting new RNT employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Nursing Assistant certification or enrollment in an RN nursing program with two clinical rotations completed.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Basic math skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, and hospital staff.
• Ability to provide patient care in a changing rehabilitation environment and follow safety, infection-control, and regulatory procedures.

Nice to have

• 2–5 years of experience in a rehabilitation hospital, acute care hospital, or skilled nursing facility.
