Rehabilitation Aide, Rehab Services Full-Time Days

Location: 245 E. Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL, United States; onsite, full-time day shift

What you will do

• Support physical, occupational, and speech therapy services in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, lifts, dressing, toileting, and supervised treatment activities.
• Prepare, clean, sanitize, and maintain rehabilitation equipment, treatment areas, supplies, and therapy carts.
• Manage equipment and supply inventories, including durable medical equipment forms, vendor deliveries, and discrepancy resolution.
• Support department communication, scheduling availability, equipment transportation, meetings, training classes, and in-services.
• Report treatment activities, patient progress, unusual incidents, and adverse responses to therapists.

Requirements

• High school diploma and interest in working with people.
• English proficiency required: must read, speak, and understand English.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to assist adult and geriatric patients with mobility training, transfers, dressing, and toileting under therapist supervision.
• Ability to push or pull patients, supplies, and equipment; lift patients up to 80 pounds independently or up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to respond to emergency signals, maintain concentration for up to 90 minutes, and commute between office and treatment locations.
