Embedded Software Engineer (C/Python)

Location: Son en Breugel, Netherlands; relocation support and work permit and visa assistance are available if applicable.

Salary: €4,000–€5,500 gross per month, based on experience and education.

What you will do

• Develop software subsystems for a reusable platform combining microcontrollers and FPGAs.
• Design, implement, and validate embedded software from requirements and architectural specifications.
• Build network utilities such as DHCP clients, DNS resolvers, and mDNS services.
• Integrate Mbed TLS encryption for secure application-layer communication over TCP/IP.
• Develop firmware update procedures and the corresponding bootloader.
• Own software features and subsystems end to end while improving development processes, tools, and technical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of embedded software experience in complex technical environments.
• Strong programming skills in C and Python.
• Experience with FreeRTOS or another real-time operating system.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jira.
• Proactive ownership, collaboration, brainstorming, and design review skills.
