Team Lead, Settlement Accounting (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead accurate and timely financial reporting across settlement portfolios.
• Ensure compliance, control effectiveness, and financial integrity.
• Resolve complex reconciliation and financial risk issues with sustainable solutions.
• Develop and empower an accounting team while promoting accountability and operational excellence.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, and reporting accuracy.
• Partner with stakeholders to strengthen controls and support strategic business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Accounting.
• At least 4 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, reconciliation, audit, or related functions.
• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience managing accounting or finance professionals.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial controls, and reporting standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex financial issues and competing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience in settlement accounting, payments, banking, or fintech.
• Experience with Oracle or other enterprise resource planning systems and reconciliation tools.
• Exposure to automation, process improvement, or system implementation projects.
