Auditor - AML and Financial Crimes

What you will do

• Plan, execute, and report on audits of the AML and Financial Crimes program in accordance with the annual audit plan.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls covering KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, AML risk assessment, training, and governance.
• Perform audit engagements, special projects, consulting, monitoring, and oversight activities.
• Review business processes, controls, operating practices, and systems to identify potential weaknesses.
• Discuss audit results with business units and present recommendations to improve operations and controls.
• Prepare concise, professional summaries of findings and recommendations in line with audit methodology and department standards.

Requirements

• College or university degree.
• 2+ years of auditing and/or systems experience in a financial institution, or comparable public accounting experience in financial services.
• Knowledge of financial services auditing, basic accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, report-writing, and workpaper documentation skills.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CIA, ACA, or ACCA, and/or an MBA are preferred.
