Sanctions Advisory Specialist

What you will do

• Act as the internal subject matter expert on sanctions compliance risks, controls, industry practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide actionable sanctions risk guidance to stakeholders across Binance and support the Global Head of Sanctions.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Asia and translate legal changes into potential policy adjustments.
• Evaluate processes for identifying, documenting, and assessing sanctions risks across Binance activities.
• Ensure identified sanctions compliance issues are investigated, mitigated, and remediated in line with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across functions and geographies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; JD or master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of sanctions compliance experience, preferably in a global financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of banking, payment, or cryptocurrency compliance frameworks and controls.
• Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work across functional and geographic lines, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and make decisive recommendations.
• ACAMS or ACFCS certification preferred.
