Senior IT & Security Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own the office network, encrypted mesh connectivity to field robots, and customer-site integrations, including VLANs, firewalls, egress policies, certificates, and deployment documentation.
• Work directly with customer IT and security teams on security questionnaires, vendor risk reviews, and network design reviews.
• Run the SOC 2 program, including control improvements, automated evidence collection, policy maintenance, and annual audits.
• Lead security incident response and vulnerability management, including triage, remediation, disclosure, and communications.
• Operate corporate IT through policy and automation, covering identity, SSO, device management, access reviews, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Review shared infrastructure changes involving secrets, access, or networking, and direct AI coding agents through audits, compliance work, alert triage, and infrastructure tasks.

Requirements

• 6+ years of networking and security experience with production systems.
• Hands-on Linux networking experience with routing, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, WireGuard or similar overlay networks, DNS, DHCP, and PKI.
• Experience running a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 program through at least one complete audit cycle.
• Experience working with enterprise IT and security teams on security questionnaires and network design reviews.
• Experience with SAML and OIDC SSO, identity providers, MDM, access reviews, infrastructure as code, Terraform, and Python or similar tools.
• Practical experience with AI coding agents and the ability to evaluate their output, understand failure modes, and remain effective during outages.

Nice to have

• Operational technology or plant-floor networking, including PLCs, cell networks, or industrial protocols.
• NixOS or another declarative, reproducible systems stack.
• Cloud and Kubernetes security on AWS or Azure, including IAM, secrets, and cluster hardening.
• Compliance automation platforms such as Vanta, security leadership or first-security-hire experience, and physical security or access control experience.
