Intern, FM Front Office Support (Financial Markets)

ING operates a wholesale banking business in Singapore and hosts its regional Asia Pacific headquarters, serving corporate clients through tailor-made financial solutions.

What you will do

• Support Financial Markets Sales and Trading desks with daily front office support, controls, workflows, and operational activities.
• Assist with trade validation, trade lifecycle management, settlement calculations, reconciliations, and lifecycle events such as rate fixings, option exercises, and corporate actions.
• Work with FX, Rates, Structured Products, Fixed Income, and Global Securities Finance desks on business and operational workflows.
• Prepare and distribute management information and control reports, including P&L flash, FX option expiry, and trade cancel and amend reports.
• Investigate discrepancies, coordinate urgent operational issues, maintain reference data, and support deal capture code setup.
• Contribute to client remediation, regulatory initiatives, procedure documentation, process improvement, automation, and digitalisation projects.

Requirements

• Undergraduate studies in economics, finance, science, or mathematics.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills; experience with macros is preferred.
• PowerPoint skills for preparing marketing and sales pitch books.
• Strong attention to detail, systematic working style, and analytical skills.
• Previous banking internship experience is advantageous.
