Financial Operations Intern

Location: Hybrid role based in the Galway, Ireland office; Monday–Thursday in the office and Friday working from home. This is not a virtual or fully remote position.

Annual base pay: €27,250

hirify.global operates an online home shopping platform with more than 10 million products and a global finance operations function supporting customers, suppliers, and freight operations.

What you will do

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes across product and non-product teams.
• Research and resolve invoice, billing, and payment discrepancies.
• Assist with daily payment runs, supplier and carrier reconciliations, billing, collections, and cash application.
• Manage core data changes and monitor discounts, allowances, rebates, and payment terms for accuracy.
• Correspond with suppliers and carriers within agreed service levels.
• Support month-end activities and contribute to finance operations projects.

Requirements

• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Strong MS Office skills, including excellent knowledge of Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Finance.
• Strong interpersonal, documentation, communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and identify efficient ways to complete tasks.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.

Nice to have

• Automation scripting experience with Excel VBA, Python, or R.
• Knowledge of the Excel Data Model and Power Query.
• Previous experience in accounting or financial modeling.
