Financial Lines Underwriter

Location: Dublin, Ireland; primarily office-based

What you will do

• Underwrite new and renewal financial lines business within agreed authority, standards, and limitations.
• Assess risk through submission analysis, broker communication, proposal reviews, claims history, and company information.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, expand the broker network, and generate new business.
• Provide broker training, attend client meetings, and deliver client presentations on financial lines products.
• Maintain accurate underwriting data and prepare monthly management information on submissions, bind rates, and premiums.
• Support regulatory compliance, peer reviews, policy administration, and risk management activities.

Requirements

• Some financial lines underwriting experience is preferred; relevant professional experience may be considered instead.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, technical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and build professional relationships.
• Customer- and sales-focused approach with a proactive, motivated, tenacious, and accountable attitude.
• Willingness to develop knowledge of legislation, policy coverage, insurance program structures, and risk management.
• Ability to work primarily from the Dublin office.
