Sr Embedded SW Engineer - Propulsion Thermal Management (EV)

Location: Milford, Michigan; hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. Must be able to report to the local office. Up to 10% domestic and international travel is required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement thermal management control and diagnostic algorithms for next-generation EVs.
• Interpret functional requirements and translate them into control and diagnostic strategies.
• Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams on thermal systems and embedded software development.
• Create and modify unit and multicomponent test cases for thorough software testing.
• Explore new thermal systems and requirements to support controls and software development.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, electronic engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience; or a master’s degree plus 3 years of experience.
• At least 3 years of experience writing and debugging C/C++ and MATLAB Simulink.
• At least 3 years of experience developing embedded software architecture.
• Experience with software configuration management processes and Git and GitHub.
• Experience developing on SIL/HIL and other virtual environments.
• Must be able to work in the Milford, Michigan hybrid arrangement and report to the local office.
