Salary: $124,000–$159,800 per year

What you will do

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services and comprehensive care for outpatient melanoma patients.
  • Counsel patients and caregivers starting intravenous or oral antineoplastic therapies.
  • Assess patients receiving active therapy, including adherence, toxicity, supportive care, and monitoring needs.
  • Review medication orders and chemotherapy plans for appropriateness, accuracy, completeness, and patient-specific suitability.
  • Provide evidence-based pharmacotherapy recommendations and collaborate with physicians, nurses, providers, and pharmacists.
  • Participate in rounds, case conferences, education, clinical research, quality improvement, formulary activities, and program development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • PGY2 residency in the specialty, or PGY1 residency plus 2 years of clinical specialist experience, or 5 years of clinical specialist experience required.
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Board certification in the specialty area must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, communication, documentation, and drug-information skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary, patient-focused environment and adapt to changing priorities.
