What you will do

  • Produce intelligence assessments on foreign military activities, weapons development, regional conflicts, and country stability.
  • Fuse AI-derived data with open-source information and conduct research guided by client intelligence needs.
  • Write assessments according to U.S. Intelligence Community standards and brief internal and external audiences.
  • Identify information gaps and collaborate with the Model and Data Development team to acquire relevant sources.
  • Apply structured analytic techniques and provide feedback on intelligence features and applications.
  • Serve as the Asia Pacific subject matter expert on Chinese military capabilities, weapons, tactics, maritime operations, and South China Sea territorial claims.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of analytic experience focused on Chinese military capabilities, weapons systems, and South China Sea operations.
  • Experience writing intelligence products that answer key client intelligence questions and briefing complex national security topics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Political Science, Economics, or a related social science; an advanced degree is desirable.
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative analysis, data analysis, statistics, data science, big data manipulation, and coding such as Python.
  • Eligibility for a DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance is required.
  • Strong writing, collaboration, interpersonal, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience or training in the U.S. Intelligence Community or military.
  • Existing security clearance, with the level and sponsoring agency identified in the application.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
