What you will do

• Provide electrical engineering support and troubleshooting for large utility generators and synchronous condensers.
• Lead root cause investigations for forced outages and operational issues, including urgent support for field teams and customers.
• Develop repair methods, engineering solutions, product definition documents, technical drawings, bills of materials, and process requirements.
• Conduct engineering studies and component evaluations for fleet maintenance and modernization.
• Represent hirify.global in IEEE Generator sub-committees and contribute to industry standards.
• Develop maintenance strategies, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement and technology adoption.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field preferred; a bachelor’s degree with extensive equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of experience in the power generation industry involving large turbogenerators and synchronous condensers.
• Experience with grid interaction analysis, fleet operations support, and root cause investigations.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering, engineering design processes, 3D modeling, troubleshooting, analytical problem solving, investigation, and DFMEA.
• Professional skills in influencing, product lifecycle management, workflow management, and quality assurance.
