Senior Manager, Detection Engineering & Threat Hunting (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $220,000–$240,000 base salary plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Own execution of the Detection Engineering and Threat Hunting mission for the North American region.
• Translate global strategy into regional roadmaps focused on the highest-value threats.
• Manage and scale a team of technical practitioners, including hiring, capacity planning, budgeting, and performance management.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, and regional managers across EMEA and APAC.
• Provide senior incident leadership during North American business hours, including high-impact incidents and mass exploitation events.
• Track regional performance indicators and drive systemic improvements when results fall below standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years leading technical security teams in detection engineering, threat hunting, or incident response.
• Experience managing distributed or remote teams.
• Ability to balance regional autonomy with global standards and manage resources as a business unit.
• Technical depth in Detection-as-Code principles and adversary tradecraft, with the ability to guide Staff and Principal practitioners.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills for working with non-technical stakeholders and negotiating tooling and telemetry needs.
• Must be based in the United States for the North American regional role.
