Senior Asset Manager (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Los Angeles County, California, United States; 20% travel required.

Base salary: $175,000–$225,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee operations and business plans for Southern California assets and maximize total returns through operational efficiencies, value-add initiatives, and revenue enhancement strategies.
• Direct third-party property managers, leasing agents, brokers, consultants, and attorneys on budgets, lease analysis, approvals, and asset plans.
• Negotiate new leases and renewals, manage tenant relationships, and develop relationships with prospective tenants.
• Inspect properties and vacant suites, oversee capital improvement and construction management activities, and negotiate third-party contracts.
• Prepare recurring portfolio reports, perform asset valuations with financial analysts, and analyze potential operational and investment issues.
• Collaborate with the acquisitions team to evaluate potential investments and monitor regional economic and investment trends.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in finance, real estate, or a related field; a graduate degree is preferred.
• 7–10+ years of commercial real estate asset management, principal-based leasing, or related experience, preferably with urban retail centers.
• Experience with financial analysis, asset-level financial statements, retail lease management, and leasing metrics.
• Knowledge of real estate accounting, design and construction processes, and capital improvement strategies.
• Experience with Yardi, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and Excel; Argus experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills.
