Senior Software Engineer - Source Security (CI/CD Security)

Location: New York, New York, USA; hybrid workplace

Salary: $192,000–$240,000 per year, plus equity and variable compensation.

What you will do

• Design and build high-performance infrastructure on the critical path of CI/CD systems.
• Drive the technical roadmap for trusted build provenance, secure secret access, and real-time network-layer rule enforcement.
• Partner with platform, infrastructure, and developer experience teams to create secure workflows that are easy to adopt and difficult to bypass.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for engineering, debugging, testing, and analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in incident response.
• Improve the integrity of the software supply chain and the trustworthiness of software delivery.

Requirements

• Fluency in one or more modern programming languages, such as Go, Python, Rust, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience building reliable, high-throughput systems or infrastructure critical to software delivery.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD architecture, security boundaries, trust relationships, and software delivery infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for solving complex technical and architectural problems.
• Eligibility for any authorizations required by the US government under US export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with software supply chain security, build systems, provenance, artifact repositories, or CI/CD platforms.
• Familiarity with proxying, protocol-aware systems, request interception, or high-performance policy engines.
• Knowledge of Linux internals, systems programming, networking fundamentals, or distributed systems.
• Passion for building security infrastructure that engineers trust and want to use.
