Export Control Classification Specialist (Customs and Trade Compliance)

What you will do

• Determine Harmonized System codes for the product portfolio.
• Assign EZT, TARIC, TARES, and UK Global Tariff classifications.
• Classify goods according to German, EU, and US customs and export control laws.
• Analyze technical product specifications, drawings, and documentation.
• Monitor changes to tariff codes, export controls, sanctions, and embargoes.
• Develop and optimize classification processes and coordinate audits, authorities, and external service providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or technical vocational training with several years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to read technical drawings and documentation.
• Experience with ECCN classification and EU customs practice.
• Excellent knowledge of customs tariff classification and the Harmonized Tariff System.
• Strong analytical and technical mindset.
• Fluent English required; German is an advantage.
