Payroll Analyst

Location: Hybrid role based in Irvine, California, with office attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Analyze, prepare, and enter payroll data to deliver accurate and timely payroll across North America.
• Review, audit, and upload federal, state, and local payroll taxes from Workday to ADP.
• Maintain compliance with wage-and-hour laws, SOX requirements, and other applicable regulations.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies, calculate hours, and support employee and manager understanding of payroll procedures.
• Reconcile post-payroll reports and contribute to HR and payroll transformation initiatives.
• Evaluate payroll systems and processes, recommend automation improvements, and support payroll integration for acquisitions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with payroll systems and related software.
• At least 3 years of experience managing US payroll taxes.
• College degree, or a high school diploma with CPP or FPC certification.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations, company policies, and operational requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel, plus strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• English language competency and availability for the Irvine hybrid schedule are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday, ADP Smart Compliance, ADP Payment Solutions, or other HRIS and payroll systems.
