Advanced Development Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Alameda, California, United States; on-site work required

Annual base salary: $130,000–$225,000

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of new medical devices, components, and product concepts.
• Research and integrate new technologies into existing and future products.
• Coordinate technical activities with project teams and identify vendors for product development.
• Design and perform testing, evaluate prototypes against performance requirements, and interpret test results.
• Document findings and recommendations, solve practical engineering problems, and provide technical support.
• Train engineers, technicians, and assemblers in new processes and methods while ensuring adherence to quality and compliance procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with 5+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering and scientific principles.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness and ability to work on site in Alameda, California.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or another regulated industry.
